Women's Night

Let’s be honest. There is a serious gender imbalance in the economy of South Korea. Women are slightly more than half of the country’s population and have equal or better performance in school compared to men, but they only hold a small fraction of leadership positions in corporations and in startups. The gender pay gap in Korea is a staggering 37%, markedly higher than the already unacceptable 14% average for OECD nations.

The payoff for tackling such an important challenge is enormous. Gender diversty does not distract from business goals. In fact, companies with gender diversity perform better.

Join us to hear of women’s experience in industry, academia, and startups in South Korea, and participate in a conversation for real solutions and action. This is the first event in a long-term initiative to improve inclusion and diversity in the South Korean economy, with a focus on persistent collaboration to provide information, resources, and best-practices.
