Adventures Nights explore the intersection of art, science, and the economy. Money Night is the third event in this series, which is meant to bring in new experiences, inspirational talks, and promote collaboration across diverse communities.
Venture capital is only one of various types of funding for a new company, and in fact, innovation in the financial markets throughout history has provided for new variations in terms of funding sources and risk profiles of new companies, with bank loans being “older” types of innovation and crowdfunding or coin offerings some of the newer ones. Nevertheless, all types of financing are underpinned by one important figure: expected sales. Money makes the world go round, and on this evening, we will talk about how innovators can latch on to the power of the markets to start and scale their companies.
